No- they will have your eyes out! Go independent. Although if you have some spare time and want to have a laugh then let them quote you.

Sounds like there is an interesting story behind this statement, do share?
No man is worth crawling on this earth.

So much to read, so little time.
  • They are only as good as the local contract fitter you end up with. I had laminate done via Carpet Right and got a good fitter who made an excellent job. On the other hand I heard someone in the shop after I had mine fitted raising a complaint re how poorly fitted his laminate was.

Haha. Nothing interesting sadly, I was just naive enough to pop in for a quote when we were looking to do the flooring for our house. Carpets were overpriced, with the exception of their “sale” items which seemed to be priced at a more or less reasonable level (but definitely not a sale price). Underlay, gripper rods, threshold strips etc are obscenely overpriced.

Ended up going to a local independent carpet shop and got far superior flooring for about 2/3 of the price I was quoted.

I’d imagine a deal can be done if you have the time and patience to haggle. I don’t.

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
