Would anyone recommend carpet right for laminate flooring and installation or go independent?

They are only as good as the local contract fitter you end up with. I had laminate done via Carpet Right and got a good fitter who made an excellent job. On the other hand I heard someone in the shop after I had mine fitted raising a complaint re how poorly fitted his laminate was.0

Haha. Nothing interesting sadly, I was just naive enough to pop in for a quote when we were looking to do the flooring for our house. Carpets were overpriced, with the exception of their “sale” items which seemed to be priced at a more or less reasonable level (but definitely not a sale price). Underlay, gripper rods, threshold strips etc are obscenely overpriced.Rosa_Damascena said:

Thanks!Ended up going to a local independent carpet shop and got far superior flooring for about 2/3 of the price I was quoted.I’d imagine a deal can be done if you have the time and patience to haggle. I don’t.0 -
