Whereas with Start Rescue it's the other way around. I just got my renewal for SR offering a nice discount.

Regarding the excess attached to the quotes from these breakdown companies, is it expected this is paid on each breakdown? Hopefully you don't have multiple breakdowns!

Sadly Start Rescue has stopped including free legal cover and uninsured loss recovery. Generally worth about £25 if added on to your car insurance so given that Start Rescue charged £25 for comprehensive breakdown that was a freebie well worth having!
    Still good value though.
  • I’m with the AA, family membership.
Full cover excluding European cover, £27.50 each after Quidco or topcashback.
I did it this year, my brother will do it next year and then mum and dad and back to me on year 5.
We look out for the one third off offer they run.
Needed cover for August, due to offer we paid in July and set start date for August.
Only a deal if there are four of you needing cover.

Been with Start Rescue and called them out. Arrived quickly and they were very good. Another family member has just gone to RESCUEMYCAR.com so we will see what they are like!
