CTC child going into 6th Form

My middle child is about to start Yr 12 education and I currently recieve tax credits for all three children. When my eldest did the same last year it seemed a lot more simpler.
My gateway account tells me I only have a one off payment to come in September, I've tried speaking to them to see what happens post September and one person, seemed to indicate that something looked wrong and then we cut off. Second time they said it would be fine and recalculate in September.
I think it's just the one off payment that is throwing me as I never had that last year.
Is anyone seeing the same thing? And what would happen if payments wrongly stopped? I only have a year left of payments anyway but curiosity is getting the better of me

Your tax credits for your middle child would end on 31st August. I'm assuming you've reported the changes to state they are remaining in full time education? If you've done this then it will be recalculated in september (usually by about the 7th) It can continue until they reach their 20th birthday, providing they remain in full time non advanced education.

Yes I have reported it, I did it online and over webchat as I wasn't sure it had gone through.
