Eon next fit issues

We were transferred from npower to eon next, no choice just transferred. Put reading in week before it was due. No acknowledgement. Emailed them after 2 weeks. No response. Called them with a complaint. Email received saying reading out of tolerances. Lodged complaint asked how their switch system worked. No response apart from automatically generated email. 2 weeks later called again. Sent picture of meter showing reading. Told if I switched would go onto seg not fit which is worth less. Still heard nothing so called yesterday. They have reading, have not processed it. Even if they put it thru now it will not be dealt with until September when next payment is due. No explanation, no apology apart from poor soul who was on receiving end of phone.
I look after 2 disabled people and run a charity shop. Totally disgusted with the absence of service. N power worked well all thru the years we were with them from the start of the fit system, no issues. Cant tell u how stressful it has been and the time lost I won’t get back.

You can change your FIT payer at anytime and it will not change your entitlement to FIT and export payments so you have either misunderstood what you were told or someone is telling porkies. You do have the right to forgo the export element of your payment and opt for SEG instead. People who do this have usually added additional solar to the roof for which FIT payments cannot be claimed. It just means a single payment for exports. Should SEG rates fall, then I believe that people can chose to go back on export payments after 12 months.
  • hello
thanks for the response. I did not misunderstand they were very clear that I would not be able to transfer and keep on the fit tariff.
The good news is that despite them telling me that I would not get paid until after the next reading I was paid on 24/8.
Thanks to this forum I suspect:)
  • Oh nearly forgot, still have no paperwork/ email with payment details. Just payment into bank account.
