Puppy pads vs bed pads (where to post this?????)

You know how on the site it says about do you need it, can you afford it??  Well I know it doesn't add something about - and what if you are just cheap!?!

Ok so I've got puppy pads for my cat as she is a bit random about using her litter tray.  Basically since being diagnosed as diabetic nearly 2 years back she has needed a litter tray in the house and then seemed to half way forget to use it.  Front paws in, back paws out, or just that her butt will be hanging over the side of the tray....well you get the picture.

So the other real oldie in the household is my MiL.  And she has her own toilet issues which we are trying to address.  Yesterday when I was shopping for some Tena lady pads for her I saw that Tena also sell bed pads that can be put under the fitted sheet to help protect the mattress without needs a full plastic cover.  I almost bought them but then thought - "but I've already got puppy pads!"

So the question is - are they the same item just packaged differently?  In which case I can check what's the better buy for both the cat princess and MiL.  I can't tell by googling but someone may have superior google powers to me.

  • Same item tbf - I use incontinence pads as they are bigger, more absorbent and cheaper than puppy pads.

I've a 5 1/2 month old poodle who has a penchant for crapping behind the dining table :D
  • Same here. I did a comparison on Am@zon and bought the continence aid product rather than the puppy pads. I also did the same for the reusable washable version.
  • I've also used the pads (in the past) for potty training tots, nappy free time with babies and long car journeys with kids who have just come out of pants.

They are also excellent fantastic for sick kids or adults as they soak up loads.
