Insurance Quotes/Policy + Driving License Details (Was Banned)
Hi,
I have held a driving License for 14 years.
The first 3 months of my License was a provisional.
In June 2018 I was banned for dangerous driving and given an 18month ban with extended retest.
I have applied for my license again and been given a provisional.
My driving license number is the same as it originally was and DVLA has confirmed it is still the same license
The question i am wondering is:
On an insurance quote do i need to say i have held my license for 14 years as i do have 14 years of driving experience. Or do i need to say it is from when i get my new Full UK Driver's License? As this will effect my insurance quotes quite a lot
Thanks in advance, I am looking for some advice from somebody who definitely knows or knows where i can get the information as the DVLA didn't sound too sure about the matter.
Also does anybody know if i can check the digital database for accident records to make sure my dates etc are correct when filling out quotes?

You have held your licence for 14 years it'd the same today as when it was first issued a provisional. Make sure you do everything by the book, you don't want to be arrested for driving whilst disqualified if an L plate "falls off".Ste1337 said:Hi,
