LFC Titleist Golf Umbrella

Hi, can anyone advise, bought the LFC Titleist Umbrella from LFC online store Oct 20, due to lockdown not been able to play golf until May21, used the umbrella 3 times and now one of the arms has splintered and snapped, contacted LFC and they refuse to consider return or refund on items over 6 months old, Titleist are not answering correspondence, do I have any rights on this one?.

    How much did it cost?  You do have consumer rights with LFC, and possibly warranty rights with Titleist (if they provide a warranty).  If it's relatively low value, it probably isn't worth pursuing, because you'd have to prove an inherent fault or inherently poor design in order to exercise your consumer rights and get a repair, refund or replacement.

    As it's been over 6 months the onus is on you to prove that this is a fault present when you purchased the umbrella and not down to user misuse or excessive wear & tear etc.. Up to you but I'd advise to pick your battles. Is it really worth the trouble over a £35 umbrella.

    Personally I'd bin it and never shop (and support for that matter 😉) LFC again.
