Morning, hugs if you need them.
I spent most of yesterday with my neighbour. I think she has been sent home too early.
We did get to Aldi for the shopping. I went over with her bananas and she was very shaky and weepy. I stayed a while and then came back for my lunch. Went back whilst DB was having his siesta. Whilst I was there the OT came from the hospital to see what help they could put in place for her, so I made sure what she told him was honest!! She has in the past said 'oh I am ok, do not need any help, when in fact she was not. I had had a long conversation with her son on the phone. He is desperately worried about her.
So towels in the washer, hopefully will dry on the line. Gardener is due, so we will get the two posts in the fence, job will be almost done then.
SS phone, we have arranged to go down for the little ones birthday, managed to get a B & B in Woburn to stay over night and have made arrangements to take her parent , ss and little one for Sunday lunch before we come back.
Fish and chips tonight for supper.7 -
Morning! Not sunny and has rained overnight again to add to the thunderstorm yesterday gaternoon. Did I get wet? Of course i did, I was manically trying to riddle the last of the row I'd dug out when the biggest fattest drops started chucking it down. Current riddled stones going behind the raised bed, only 9ft x 2ft left to go. Then I can remove all the old roof felt/plastic bags the previous owner put down to deter weeds, dig out the tree roots, flatten it and then think about getting it concreted so we can build our thing. We were talking about the goth box last night with OH and his friends saying it was such a good idea. I reminded OH he did not want to build it at all when I said about doing it, so now in future, just go with the flow when I suggest something. I've mentioned a rocket mass heater to him a few times and he's looking forward to making one of those...we'll make it outside and I think I'll try incorporating a heating plate to cook on too. That's not for a couple of years though.Today we're off to OH mums for tea so no cooking required from me, yippety skippety, and I will riddle what's remaining, then shower and go. Luckily I haven't had to take OH to work this week which has meant a lie in, good job too, am needing to catch up. Ten viewings booked in for the house today so hopefully one of those might morph into something useful. I also did bull by the horns time and phoned the lady who got us our mortgage to see if she could find us a deal instead of just switching to a two year fixed again. The house has gone up so the LTV should be better even if I'm not earning yet. Fingers crossed.Ruby, I admire your pain threshold, that is definitely not in my future...enjoy the quad biking! Rosy, I have come to the conclusion men don't see things in general...and expect others to tidy up after them. Enjoy your lunch out WL. TA, you'd be excommunicated if you did
Gers, well done on dealing with stuff...dumpling, little changes add up to big results, or something
camelot, always delegate, it's so much easier to spread the *cough* love work. Csarina, hope she gets the help she needs. That's a definitie bug bear, the oh, I'm OK, no need to worry about little old me. Take the damned help. Right, I'm getting going, have a good day if you can, if you can't, Johnny Cash said these things will pass and he should know...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi10 -

hello from an emotional mehefinland
today after a long battle my LongneckLaggan lost the fight and had to be PTS. To say I am heartbroken is to completely minimise the bond between animal and human. Off now to get roaring drunk.
Hugs and spoons as always
