    Another reason why you get different results from different btu calculators is that some are based on delta 70 ( like best heating) and others on delta 50. A lot of radiator brands quote  btu output on delta 50 so you have to check the calculator and the radiator are both using the same delta.

    Good shout although I thought the calculators only used the target and outside temperatures and delta only affects the output of the rad. I see that Myson give figures at both delta 50 and 30 the latter for heat pump applications? I have noticed in the past that the 'designer' brands tend to use higher deltas that inflate their outputs. Easily missed.

    If you want a really complex calculator then look at the one from Quinn although I think some people use and get good results from the good old Mears wheel.
