Currys PCWorld PS5 VIP

Hi all we entered our details to currys for their PS5 draw, this meant if picked you got a code to buy a PS5 bundle guaranteed for our son. We were chosen  and on 7th July rushed to our local store to place our order. We were told the PS5 could take up to two weeks to arrive in store but it could be sooner. We were told we would be contacted once the item was ready for collection. After a month we tweeted them asking where our item was, they sent a standard reply, we retweeted them. They then asked for purchase details upon receiving they said our store would be in touch. No contact whatsoever from Currys apart from their Twitter bot who is now telling us to just wait. We could have bought elsewhere by now. Currys don’t want to help other than say we can go and get refunded, this will put us back at sq1. Currys are giving out more VIP codes even tho they have no stock. 

Any suggestions on how to deal with this? Our son asks every day “ is it coming today” Currys have our money and we feel we have been mislead.

PS5's are like hens teeth. They will not be getting enough stock to supply every one who got this code and it's also unlikely you could have had one by now.

Get a refund and get it from whoever gets stock first, but getting one even when a few come in is easier said than done.
