Delayed flight refund from March 2020 - Opodo

I had flights booked with Opodo for March 2020. I claimed a refund because of covid, but Opodo put me off and wouldn’t issue a refund. I contacted them many times and they never issued a refund. 

I claimed section 75 chargeback on my credit card used to book the flights. Once I did this, Opodo said they would pay if I cancelled the chargeback, which I have done. Now they will not believe it is cancelled and are refusing to process the refund unless I provide them with evidence. 

It’s dragged on for a long time, does anyone have a solution to getting a refund from Opodo? Do I just reinstate the chargeback given that they seemingly won’t pay?

    Did the airline actually cancel your flight, or could you not travel to your destination due to the pandemic situation?

    If the former then you would be due a refund, less any service fee that Opodo may levy.  If you could not travel to your destination then it would be more of a travel insurance claim to secure your money back.  

    I fear a charge back will not be possible at this late stage, but in any regards your refund right and recovery of money will be dependant on the reasons for your cancelled travel plans.

    Was it a section 75 claim or a chargeback one?  They're different, although, having said that, I doubt that either will apply, given that the use of an agent for flight bookings usually nullifies s75 coverage and the likelihood that you're well out of time for chargeback, which needs to be raised within 120 days.  Opodo saying they'd pay if you cancelled the chargeback sounds very dodgy, did they put this in writing?
