Screen burn from Sky Sports News

Hi all, this is the first time I’ve posted on here as I am looking for advice or direction. I brought a brand new LG 65” tv in November 2018 & had Sky Q installed the following day. Everything has been fine up until last Saturday 14.8.21. I watch a lot of Sky Sports news on a Saturday when football is on so it is not unusual to have the channel on from 15.00-17.15 to keep up on the football. After last Saturday I have noticed that I have a screen burn image of the Sky Sports news banner at the bottom of the screen. I want to know who is responsible for this, Is it a tv issue so contact LG or Sky issue. I have been on a Sky forum for the same issue & other people complaining about the same thing & that OLED tv’s are not fit for purpose unless you keep changing channels after a period of time with any that have information banners on them.
I am well aware of screen burn but surely I should be able to watch Sky Sports news for more than 2 hours without having to keep changing channels.
Also could I go down the consumer agreement route as I paid £2400 for my tv, & I now get drawn to the bottom of the screen while watching tv where the burn image is.
Any help or advise would be great as I do t know if this is my fault, Skys fault or LG’s fault.
Thanks
Thanks

After three years you're going to have to prove a fault with the TV if you want to take it up, and your complaint would be to the retailer, not LG (unless you bought directly from LG). What does the TV's manual say about preventing screen burn? Have you adhered to any advice that is there?
It's nothing to do with Sky and I don't think you have a leg to stand on with the retailer, either.0 -
Firstly what does the manual for your TV say about usage?Have you searched online to see if other users have experienced a similar issue with screen burn on that model? As tv channels displaying the logo / screen layout is the norm it should not have caused your TV a problem (if you used it per manufacturers instructions)This is not a sky sports issue unless you can prove it affected a wide number of people (which would be near impossible) due to something they did at their end.May you find your sister soon Helli.

Plenty of real info on the web re screen burn .Basics are user has a static picture on tv for to long . Could be any picture from any channel any video source .Me never had any screen burn watching Sky 9 hours plus .Worth asking LG but like most screen burn is not covered by warranty .Next step would be Consumer Rights against the vendor .But you are going to have to prove your not fit for purpose assertion .The user booklet and other information on the TV usually has information regarding screen burn prevention .0

I'm afraid this is your fault - I have a OLED from LG from approximately the same date as you and I could not have had more warnings about it, the software on the TV reminds you at set intervals to run the diagnostics tools to refresh the screen.
The OLED TV very much is fit for purpose - not everyone on the planet watches SS News.
You don't have a consumer rights claim - its in the manuals, its in the software etc...7
