Do Marston Group Collect for credit card debt?

She has been getting regular letters from debt collectors and now from Marston bailiffs threatening a home visit and she's really worried about it - she told me she missed several payments on a credit card.
Is this the debt Marston are contacting her for?

It's got as far as a CCJ being issued and not being paid for a period, "several" missed payments would seem like an understatement if it's that.0 -
"Marston are known to work for local authorities to collect council tax and government departments."
The Marston Group is one of the handful of bailiffs that are used by HM Revenue and Customs. They work with HMRC to collect debts relating to benefit overpayments, unpaid VAT invoices and tax debts."

Marston don't collect for simply late or missing credit card payments. It would only be the case if your friend had been taken to court for a CCJ and either not showed or is refusing to pay. Do you think she is definitely telling you the whole truth?
Other than in this case, Marston mainly collect for council tax, and other government debt.
I would read up on that article depending on which stage she is in and make sure she knows the consequences as it is pretty serious to ignore CCJs, Bailiff letters and especially so if it is regarding council tax debt.
