Definitely. Although the card insurance finishes on 31st October, surely we can claim if it goes in the sale December time - as long as the purchase was made up until this date? A letter I received this week says it all ends. Price protection should still be valid. Which card did you have?0

Yes I had letter saying ended 31st October but then when i read lower into the letter it says price protection for a price protection claim the item reduction date must occur before 31st October 2021 - at no point was that made clear to me ? I had a House of Fraser credit card I am going to query that statement0

Me too as that’s not fair if we have paid our insurance up to 31st, our insurance states we can claim back in the future if it’s seem to be reduced. As long as it was purchased on or before 31st. I can’t see why we can’t claim in January purchased made in October.0

Was your insurance paid via AXA?0

I received letter re Payment Protection Insurance ( including Price Protection to be removed from card as of 31st October 2021, to say I'm disappointed is an understatement, when I queried it with NewDay and AXA you can still submit claims but everything has to be reduced in price by the 30th October 2021. Even if it had been honoured until the end of the year that would have been understandable. No MasterCard/Store Card offer this protection in the UK .1

This is disappointing and it should have been made clear. The first letter I received did not say PP had to be claimed by 31st originally, it was only the letter I received last week stated this.0

The 1st letter was stating Payment Protection Insurance , which I didn't know included Price Protection I asked then to verify it as I honestly thought if you purchased items up to and including 31st October they would be covered if items were reduced in Black Friday/Christmas Sales.0

This this seems so unfair. I shopped right up to October thinking I could claim back at a future date.0

Its really unfair
I have complained via Resolver ) I know when I have rang or emailed AXA they have been really helpful I didn't think letters New Day were sending were very clear. You might be best ringing or emailing AXA do you have their contact details? I have been using Price Protection on my House Of Fraser MasterCard since 2008 and on other store cards prior to that. I didn't know that Account Cover Premium which I paid every month was another term for PPI which I have never claimed For. 😞

I will let you know how I get on with AXA as they ultimately pay the insurance. I only paid 1.5% of my balance for the insurance cover. Hence using my card wisely for items which were likely to go in the sale. Basically you are buying everything for half price. It was fab while it lasted. No other deals anywhere out there. To be fair I don’t know anyone except for us on this chat that had this price protection. I’ve always told friends but they never believed me.0
