Secret commission lawyers

I got phone call today saying they were offer 1800 pounds on my claim which I accepted but I won't receive any of that money as there costs etc is this normal

  • Yes, it's very common for people who use claims firms to end up with little to show for it after their fees have been deducted.

    It's never normal to engage with secret commission lawyers.

    They have sent me a form to sign but I haven't signed it yet they rang me one day at work so I thought might aswell try it

    What form have they sent you and why?

    Reads like chancers at both ends .
  • Plevin claims after a PPI claim is partially paid can be done yourself for free, what contract did you sign, what % commission etc?

    What claim?  is this one you have made or is this out of the blue?
    If you already received a payment for a claim (such as PPI) and it was upheld then the redress is 100% refund of premiums plus interest.  There is no commission.  

    if your complaint was rejected (again PPI), then the bank would automatically check under the Plevin ruling (about commission) and you would be refunded anything over 50%
