my partner has just been pinged by the app aying she was close to someone who tested positive for covid over the weekend (we were at a small music festival). Ive had about 4 PCR tests over the last year at a local drive thru site, and got the result back the next day by email and text. We cant find the location anymore, so am wondering if its been changed?
She does have a symptom, a sore throat but we put it down to singing all weekend. also feels tired and weak.
She got a negative result from a rapid lateral flow test, is that enough to confirm she's not got Covid? Or can she get a PCR test anywhere still? couldnt find it on gov website?

Here's how to book a pcr test. It will give you the options of post or which centres are open near you.

Christ, it'll never end if people get PCR tests every time they feel ill.0 -

If the test comes back negative they can get on with their daily activities as usual ( when they feel well enough to do so )
That is what testing is for to STOP Covid being transmitted .Prior to testing being available for all , the only way to stop transmission was to lockdown everyone .2 -

The Government advice If you have coronavirus symptoms:
Get a free PCR test to check if you have coronavirus (COVID-19)
If you have any of these 3 coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms, even if mild, use this service to get a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test as soon as possible:
- a high temperature
- a new, continuous cough
- you’ve lost your sense of smell or taste or it’s changed
You can order a PCR test kit to be sent to your home or book an appointment at a walk-in or drive-through test site.
If you have symptoms, self-isolate straight away until you get your results. Do not leave home, except to post a test kit or for a PCR test appointment. Check if the people you live with need to self-isolate on NHS.UK
