Tax question
I've just bought a car from a work colleague. They've driven it over to our house and parked on drive. He's informed the DVLA and now I want to SORN it using new keepers slip.
Hearing of horrible delays at the DVLA I suspect I won't get new V5C by the time I want to tax.
Can I use the new keepers slip to tax after SORN or does it "expire" once used for SORN?

If you register the change of owner online then you should have the V5C in a few days anyway so there are no delays for that, if you send paper in then yes it may be delayed.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.1
