Morning all, raining again!Nmlc, your workplace sounds very dispiriting
atm.
I decided on a butter chicken for tea last night, I'd made and previously frozen a batch - made for an easy afternoonDH was rained off by lunchtime so he gave me a lift to Hobbycraft. I was very good & didn't spend too much time/money . When I got back I spent part of the afternoon rearranging certain items in our bedroom so that I had easier access to my craft stuff, then finishing a couple of cards I'd started.Shame about your trip TA but enjoy todaysRight time for a coffee before I start my jobs for today, enjoy your day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all
Dull and overcast here and more rain due later, the washing will have to go in the td today.
I will get the dogs out today hopefully before the rain starts they dont mind walking in the rain but its not my favourite thing !
We booked out holiday yesterdaywe go on the 29th for two weeks, we got a very good deal as they seem to be discounting everything as not many people are going away, it is about 35 deg over there atm so I hope it cools down slightly, we have just over a week to get outselves sorted so I have started making lists, I have insurance to sort today.
I need to nip to the post office today to post something and I need a couple of bits from the shop. Dinner tonight will be chicken salad with new potatoes, I m low carbing so wont have the potatoes but might do some mushrooms to go with mine.
Taff I know what you mean about not caring about your appearance for a while after a diagnosis, I think mine is only coming bak just now it certainly takes a while, I hope they can help with your face thing xxxx
Hope you all have good days xxx

Good morning everyone
Had an early facetime call from my mum, nothing was wrong, she just wanted to chat before she went out to measure up her new flat to be. Of course, I was still in my pj's with my hair unbrushed so I felt like Worzel Gummidge compared to my glamorous mum.
I did manage to get out the other day but only to Tescos again as the shopping centre would have been too busy with all the holiday makers here. I will wait till next month to do that when it has all calmed down a bit. Unfortunately I have managed to pull some very underused muscles in my back, leg and bottom so I have been lady limp-a-lot for the past couple of days. It is easing off a bit now but I am not planning to go out until Sunday when our street is having a BBQ party.
I am making a new recipe for dinner tonight from the BBC's Good Food website. It is smokey bacon and tomato spaghetti and it looks really easy and sounds tasty. We also are having a use up lunch as the fridge is being taken over with plastic tupperwares of leftovers. I have shopping coming tomorrow so want the fridge cleared and cleaned before then.
I am knitting a Father Christmas at the moment as I have finished the hedgehogs. I also made a sparkly owl for my labrador Max as he is obsessed with the tinsel wool and keeps pinching bits out of the bin and stashing them in his bed. Bobby isn't interested in toys so I didn't make him anything.
Hope you all have a great day whatever you are doing. Take care xx

Hi everyone,
Wicked Lady, snap with the little one tiring me out, it's worth it though. I was a fairly young mum compared to nowadays (25 when Laura was born) and had the energy for a very busy toddler - I'm talking about walking at 10 months, doing handstands at 18 months etc. Unfortunately when Chris was born my thyroid packed up and took all my energy with it. In some ways though it's so much easier, I just concentrate on him in a way I was never able to do when mine were little, I know I'll have time to cook and clean when he's not here.
Steve has taken the car to be serviced and I am just about to sort the spare room that gets used as a dumping ground. Brian's brother will be sleeping in there tomorrow night as they are going to a music festival this weekend. Esben will be thrilled, they were at an outside venue with music the other day and he kept dragging them off saying Daddy dance, Mummy dance.11
