Will anybody pay £40k more on house that sold for £295k 8 months ago?

The previous price is irrelevant, unless you have a time machine.
How does today's price compared with what else is on the market now?3 -
I looked and thought they'd gone into the loft, thinking that might bring the uplift but from the previous listing:
https://www.rightmove.co.uk/house-prices/detailMatching.html?prop=95921492&sale=92504271&country=england
and from Zoopla record:
https://www.zoopla.co.uk/property/little-heath/shinehill-lane/south-littleton/evesham/wr11-8tr/26019376/
Last sale in Dec and price from the LR, it would appear that changes took place after 2014:
https://www.zoopla.co.uk/property-history/little-heath/shinehill-lane/south-littleton/evesham/wr11-8tr/32057256/
It's also the top end of the zoopla estimate, but it is listed as 3 bed not 4, there are some that believe that estimate is accurate!
https://www.zoopla.co.uk/property/little-heath/shinehill-lane/south-littleton/evesham/wr11-8tr/26019376/
As it is not readily apparent I would be seeking clarification on what has been changed since Dec as well as understanding the reasons for sale. Death or divorce or new job are not your issues, you only want to maximise your value for money.
Nice enough house, well presented, loft conversion seems good, "fenced" garden has had some effort, including remote bath and clearly value has been added from 2014 but this should have been the bump in Dec.
SDLT holiday now principally over, so expect prices to settle for a period, offer what they paid and see where you get.
It may be a long term listing that waits for the market to catch up.2 -

Very pretty house, sash windows, done up nicely inside to enhance its character, ready to use garden also done up with character - it's probably at the ceiling for its type.I've no idea what Evesham is like, or the prices there, but a very pretty and characterful 4-bed for £335k? Nice.Is it worth it? If it sells, yes.2

Interesting. Maybe I've just got a 'value aversion' to anything that seems to have leapt substantially then in a short space of time?
There's a nice 4 bed detached virtually opposite which last sold in 2018 for £320k and is now listed at £355k. Hmmm.0 -

I saw a house that was £120K higher than its previous sale price about 18 months previous.BUT whilst it looked good, it was a new build property 18 months ago, and the price was what you would pay for a recently finished new build on the same development. (That the area looked naff put me off as well).I think with some new build houses, people forget that once they buy it, like a new car driven off the forecourt, it is no longer new and looses that 'new' tag. Yes you can pay to have peace of mind guarantees with developments and cars.I have seen a few properties that look priced for what the owner 'needs' to buy their onward purchases and not what the property in my opinion is worth.May you find your sister soon Helli.
