Did the broker say there was a technical problem with the delay ? If so they are more than likely winging it. I would say it's down to the lack of effort on their part. Maybe taking on too many cases.
Dealt with same broker 6 years ago and it was OK. This time round it was complete opposite. 4 case managers in a month, the so called wonderful portal is not updated unless days after the event.
I had to chase up offer with lender after the valuation and no offer after 7 days. Turned out my 5 minute phone highlighted after it came in OK it was stuck due to error on lenders part leaving it stuck after button was pressed. L&C stayed reactive instead of following it through and my intervention resulted in the offer being emailed 24 hours later. And they have the audacity to chase me for a review on their service after I spent so many phone calls asking for updates.
I could have found the same deal myself in the end but one positive I can mention is the admin side was slightly less for me. Otherwise they are scoring 3 out of 10.0 -
980233 Yes, we're leaning towards that point of view as well. Have been told three times now that we would have an answer in 48 hours and it hasn't materialised. And now our main broker contact has gone on hols for two weeks without letting us know. Maybe we might see more progress by talking to his stand-in ... Still waiting @the moment ...
