In which case, your BiL will have purchased a second-hand kitchen at a price commensurate with the condition at the time of purchase. In the event of you having mis-described the kitchen, any claim your BiL would have would be against yourself and not the original kitchen company (though redress in the event of a private purchase of second-hand goods is minimal). In any event, your BiL would only have claims for his losses which would be limited to the £1 he paid you for the second-hand kitchen.
If you can start to accept the actual situation with the finance, and be open about the actual problems, people may be able to give you guidance as to possible remedies. To be honest, this far along and with one S75 claim closed by satisfactory remedial actions, any claims against the original installer are going to be fading into the distant past.
Is it just the doors that have the mystery white spots appearing? If so, changing all the doors may be the way forward.
