I don't receive a txt with the login code when I try to login  to Nationwide - I have waited an hour
I can login using the card reader
I have checked my mobile number is correct
Is anyone else experiencing a similar problem ??

Their app is working ok, if that's an option for you.

Yes - I can still log on through the app - just NOT on my laptop using the passcode method !

It's working fine for me. Text received within seconds, even if I enter a wrong pass number (in which case login fails)

In what format is your phone number stored? Mine's just a long list of 13 numbers, no dash or blanks

Same here - just a long string!
It worked up to last month

Who is your mobile provider? I am on EE. I have previously seen people on Three reporting all sorts of issues.

Seems you need to report the issue to Nationwide.

I logged in this morning using passcode and text without a problem. My phone is on Three. (I'm not saying Three doesn't have issues for some people, or in some places, just that I haven't experienced them.) I agree that you should report it to Nationwide.

I had a similar problem (not receiving texts) some time ago.  It was not just Nationwide but any bank sending a code.  Ordinary text messages were received fine.

I am with O2 and they sent me a new sim.  I had difficulty in removing the existing sim and gave up for a while, intending to try again later.  Then I made another attempt to get a code from one of the banks - and it reached me.  I suspect the sim had moved in the phone and my attempts at trying to remove it actually re-aligned it.

It seems odd but you could try removing and replacing your sim.

Usually it's pretty instant for me but I've had some occasions where it's taken a while and once never. I do have limited coverage at home so can never be sure whether it's Nationwide or me.
Although I know there are many who hate it, I personally prefer the card reader login for this reason and will be disappointed if (when?) they decide to remove this option.

I'm also with Nationwise and just use my little reader. I like it and have never had any problems with it. Sometimes text messages - such as when I'm trying to get a verification code from amazon - take ages to get through. I'd rather just use my reader, it's not much more trouble to use.

It's a lot more faff for me. When the code arrives on my mobile phone (usually within a second or so), a helpful auto fill box show up on my laptop which I only have to select to complete the logon.
