Experian

My free Experian credit score is incorrect.
My Experian score has gone from 999 to 940?
Experian says I've got a loan of £4031.00.
I do not have any loans and my credit is paid in full monthly approximately £600.
Experian tel me I need to sign up and pay monthly to find out what the £4031.00 loan is.
How can I find out what this £4031.00 is, with out paying?
regards Steve

Recently, we asked for a Santander credit card and were turned down due to an incorrect credit score with Experian. We have no debt. Having looked at our Experian report, we were astonished to see so much incorrect financial information. For example, it states that we have only been mortgage free for 4 years - in fact it is over 20 years. How do we correct the report?0

What other errors though?
Have you checked Equifax (Clear Score) and TransUnion (Credit Karma) to see if there are any issues there?Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

How do we correct the report?Firstly, you'd be better off starting your own thread, rather than resurrecting one that's 3 years old.Secondly, if you've read the thread you're posting on, you'll be aware that the score is utterly meaningless.Having no debt, and hence no recent credit history, means that a lender has no historic data on which to form a judgement about you. You may have to start off with a credit-builder card.If there is any incorrect information on your report, you need to contact the lender concerned and ask them to issue a notice of correction to the CRA.It's also worth checking all 3 of your credit reports, since not all lenders report to, or consult, all 3 agencies.
