Sony TV bargain...

Just bought a Sony KDL-32V200 (ie a flat shiny new 32" telly)
from Tesco for £360 plus Clubcard points. Was on sale for £399, which seemed incredibly cheap anyway, but they only had the display model left in stock so knocked another 10% off. Seems the model was new last summer so they must be selling them off for a newer model - as if I care! Plus the reviews I have just read online rave about it, and note that it sold for approximately a gazillion pounds last year. How chuffed am I...:T

Maybe... I don't care for that price! Our old TV had a purple blotch in one corner, was fuzzy as hell and you couldn't turn it off standby or it wouldn't come back on...

  • Hey all... I have just popped to Tesco and purchased a tin of baked beans that was reduced as it had a dent in it...

Erm, dunno... if there's a board for "absurdly chuffed with own bargain" please shove me on to it!:xmassmile
  • The OP had already said that it was £399 which was cheap anyway.
If you are interested you may still be able to get one for £399 which is
still a grabbit bargain. Just because the OP managed to get another 10%
has nothing to do with it.
Do some of you guys hang around the boards just finding things to pick
    fault with?
    Sheesh!
  • well done mrs a . happy viewing

dont mean to be picky, but this line of tv, was the first set of sony bravia`s brought out, roughly 2years ago, no doubt being a sony it is a good tv, but with the advancement in technology over the past couple of years it probably not as good as the ones coming out now, we brought the sony kdl 32u3000, a couple of months ago for £440, again being a u series it is only the budget tv`s in their range, but is one of the latest tv`s they have brought to market, 2 x hdmi slots, pc slot, very good tv, well done to op for finding this tv, but i doubt sony are even making that particular model any more,
Take every day as it comes!!

If you want to be picky the V2000 is better than the U3000. The only donwer about the v2000 is the 1x hdmi. The V series has extra sony's bravia picture engine enhancements, whereas the U series has a few less (dont remember the specific name). Iv physically compared both, and the older V is better.
  • Tellies are tellies and no matter what you buy it will be out-of-date in a few months when the technology gets better, abit like PC's really. Fair play to the OP for there bargain.

I've got an 11 year old Sony for my telly and still works a treat.
