Ordered sofa online, still waiting…

Hi, I ordered a sofa bed online on 4th April. I was given a 10-12 week estimated delivery time. From 12 weeks I have contacted the company six times, they usually respond in a few days with no concrete information. At one point I was informed my sofa was completed, but was later informed this wasn’t the case. I have now been waiting 19 weeks. Have recently looked on trustpilot and there are many 1* reviews with similar experiences. I’m not sure how to proceed, could anyone advise please? I did make the purchase on a credit card.

I would send them a "time is of the essence" style email pointing out that they are now nearly 2 months past their estimate, and unless your sofa is delivered within X weeks (two? three? four?) you will be cancelling.

What do you WANT to happen? Do you want the sofa or a refund? Was it made to measure or chosen from a selection of sofas?
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Thanks! That sounds like a good idea. I am getting more put off the sofa the longer this drags on and after reading other reviews, so I may go for a short time frame.

And it was made to order, but not made to measure. I understand there will be delays because of Covid, but there are so many terrible reviews on trust pilot, and some mention of the company going into voluntary liquidation.

After a bit more online investigation, the company went into voluntary insolvency arrangement in November, 2020. Does this mean they should have ceased trading?
