Hi. Just asked gocompare for an online quote. Nothing unusual or worrying in my information, but no quotes could be provided. Anybody else experienced this? Weird as some of the providers on there have quoted me on other sites.

Could be that there was an issue with the website at the moment you tried to get a quote, and and no-one has programmed a specific error message to handle this, as it's not a usual occurrance.  Try again tomorrow?
