Ordered from internet, delivered crap!a

Hi, recently started a new kitchen being fitted (still not complete). Excited about ordering bits and bobs for it. Ordered a very small compact table and chairs for £49.
2 parcels have arrived with the order number same as table/chairs, but they are tiny little crap items.
One a set of baskets, smaller than my remote controller and the other a cheap pink glass bottle, about 5" high.
I paid by PayPal and they have come from China. Cheeky buggers.
Trouble is around the same time I ordered 2 wire stacking storage baskets. I've now a feeling they might be the same 😱 I paid £47, again via paypal . Both were ordered from FB selling page and have now disappeared?
Anyone done similar, or am I the only numpty?

Anyone done similar, or am I the only numpty?I'm afraid you are not alone, plenty of people over the years with the same story. The first thing is - Never order from a company advertised on facebook. You're not going to see your money back. If you go via paypal, they will want tracked delivery back to China - which isn't cheap. Also the company won't accept the goods and as such, Paypal won't pay you back.5 -
Well one born every minute and today it seems my turn.
Obviously I feel such a fool. I've emailed the company and told them they are cheeky bas+#@ds but I have a feeling they won't lose sleep.
Dirty way to make money.
Thank you for letting me know. Hopefully someone that hasn't heard of it will be forwarned. We are all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars........................3 -
I would attempt PayPals dispute process anyway, you have nothing to lose.1

Other than time and the cost of pointlessly sending this crap back to China?ThumbRemote said:I would attempt PayPals dispute process anyway, you have nothing to lose.0 -
I had a similar experience and managed to get a full refund via paypal.
The seller sent a small item that had no relation to the item ordered.
I opened a case and was eventually offered a part refund which I refused.
I was then offered a full refund but I had to return the item to china at my own cost.
I complained that the item was not worth more than £1 and paypal refunded me after signing an affidavit stating the item was almost worthless.Good luck and don't give up.3 -
There was another poster here who had a similar result from Paypal:ivavoucher said:I had a similar experience and managed to get a full refund via paypal.

Despite Paypal sometimes being pictured as a bad company, they operate in a competitive market and will provide customers with goodwill or help on occasions. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces1 -
Classic 'chinese scam'
If its delivered via RM then generally the pre advice (viewable on RM intranet)on the tracking will show the weight.
usually sub 100g and often letterbox sized so as to get easy tracking updates.0 -
I had a similar experience - a member of my family ordered from a Chinese site and got a lesser value item. I emailed the company and also opened a paypal dispute and we got a full refund (from the company) without having to return anything. It's definitely worth a try0

We had it happen and paypal were fine (have heard other times they get funny, possibly they confuse the situation or dont look into it fully) With us their stance was correct goods had not been received therefore company had to redeliver or refund. Regarding the incorrect goods paypal just said Chinese company could collect at their expense (which of course they didnt). SO definitely worth pursuing with paypal0
