Slight problem with that, manage-bde.exe is stored in c:\windows\system32 and that drive is the drive that is encrypted.ann_droid said:Hi
Well if you can boot from a W10 recovery media, and choose repair rather than install.
AND you can navigate to a Command Prompt....
Type ... (C:\>manage-bde /?)
Manage-bde -unlock C: -password
as it's a Lo-Cost/No-Cost option, and you may be going to re-install anyway, using the same media it must be worth trying?
Windows 10 recovery media doesn't have manage-bde.exe on it.

OH!
Mine actually does.
It's 11.6 Gig, therefore not just the basic MS .ISO expanded.
Although I have never yet to tried it out.
