Hi - the UK is moving from landlines to VOIP but there seems to be very little information out there. Does anyone know a simple cheap reliable service for home use (I don't need international calling)? One to which I can port my existing landline number from Plusnet? Are there any good independent guides on the pros and cons of using a VOIP Adapter vs splashing out on a new VOIP ready handset and headset?
My neighbourhood is just about to go full fibre so I can finally ditch the BT line, so any help is much appreciated!

Unfortunately the Zoiper version on Sippgate doesnt have Push notification which seems to be essential for low battery usage.0
