Should I renew the Vaillant Repair and Care plan?

Hi all
,

It's time to decide whether to renew the Vaillant Repair and Care plan.
Unlike the first 6 months, This time the £350+ fee can be paid monthly (£30ish per month)
Would it be a good idea to renew?
Do I need to renew? OR
Can I just not renew it for now, and wait until there is an issue with the boiler and then signup for a new care plan with them?
Is that allowed?
Would be very grateful for your advice.

Summary
Vaillant for their Repair and Care plan
13.5 years old boiler
Vaillant Ecotec 831
Previous issues: Leak etc

I took the second approach - I didn't renew and plan to take out a new policy if the boiler goes wrong again. I am also saving for a new boiler now as mine is 16 years old and probably won't last more than five years longer even with all the new parts it had via the Repair and Care plan.
I can't se why they wouldn't let you take out the policy again - its £350 for what might be £200 or £500 fix for them. Some they win, some they lose. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.1 -
I had an 8 year old oil boiler that went wrong at least once a year but the manufacturer care plan was less than £250 per year. So £350+ seems a bit steep in that context.

there is not 30 days waiting period between a new policy and a boiler breakdown right?

"Vaillant Maintenance and Support Plans are only suitable for domestic boilers under 8-years-old that are in good working order"
So that's not an option
