Gne to EDF - long term fix tariff name?
Hi, so much to wade through... Similar issues.
Moved from gne fixed tariff to Welcome GNE variable v5 (E7).
Due to end 31/01/2029. Guaranteed rate until 30/09/21.
Did anyone see the long term fix tariff? I think you had to get a smart meter with it. It was the same rates as the flexible welcome tariff. Based online. If you know the name, please let me know. Thanks

I've been speaking with EDF regards the Fix Total long term and Online long term + Boiler care Gold tariffs this week. They say both come with a smart meter BUT you can opt out. There's always the 14 day cooling off period if that's not true! You cannot select a switch date with either tariffs, the start date would be the date you requested the change from the current 'temporary' GNE tariff.I'm torn atm, whilst both EDF tariffs carry a higher monthly cost, as per cheap energy club quotes, they are fixed until August 2023 so the extra monthly cost could work out better than a 12 months fix with say Avro, UP etc0

There is an Energy company in Bath I was looking at that did fixed term for two years, they were around £15 a month higher than other companies, but it was fixed for two years - and with prices due to hike, a long fixed would be a good option.rooster47 said:I've been speaking with EDF regards the Fix Total long term and Online long term + Boiler care Gold tariffs this week.
