Hi,
Does anyone have any experience with B&Q brand GoodHome ovens and grills?
Thinking of getting the following 2 with the kitchen we are getting from them and would love to hear if others have had any experience with these?

First one is 1.5 out of 5 from 6 reviews and the second 2 out of 5 based on 5 reviews... is this why you think they may be good?

Yes the low review rating led me to ask for opinions on this forum. Equally it's difficult to gauge from a really low number of reviews. As these items are B&Q brand I can't really find any other reviews elsewhere online. I've noticed that reviews in general for a lot home improvement items on the B&Q website are quite low or fairly negative, even for items that I have personally had good experience!0

Not been impressed by the GoodHome range when I've looked at the stuff. In general, B&Q own-brands are made by companies like CDA and Cata. Getting hold of spares from a third party (or even B&Q themselves) is problematic unless you can identify the original manufacturer. Having experienced CDA appliances, I wouldn't want any more regardless of the name on the front (nasty cheap cr**).That said, I had a Cooke & Lewis induction hob from B&Q. For the price I paid (about £80), I'm well pleased with it. But don't take that as a recommendation, just sometimes, you can find something worth the money.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Tbh, i have not looked at the appliance links but have seen GH products available around europe. we were in europe but thats another issue.
Manufacturing and environmental costs are cheaper and often none exist where the appliance is manufactured,
Now days there are so many 'badged' appliances from sinks to gas boilers and in between. Which seems to be the way these days, others will disagree but some premium manufactures also purchase in products to be sold under their name.
Badge snobs be aware...
I would say GH items are similar to other looking appliances, depending on the item. They will preform very well when professionally fitted and maintained.
Tbh, i would have no problems fitting GH products in my home.
Appliance Life expectancy for spares will be around 10 years but at 10 years a new appliance could be considered cheaper than a appliance tech doing repairs.
GH is just a trading name. Cant mention more as their parent company has deep legal pockets
So, yes i would have GH products

If I was looking for value for money, I'd look at Ikea's appliances. They come with a 5 year guarantee too.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I don't think there's anyone out there that offers the same value for money on pretty much anything they sell, that's for sure.Rosa_Damascena said:
