Morning all, dull again today,Thanks nmlcEnjoy your last day off CamelotPoppy good luck for your appointment.I've taken a lasagne out of the freezer for later. I'm not sure how hungry we'll be,it's my cuz DD funeral and there is a buffet after. I need to start getting ready shortly,I put my old clothes on to take the dog to the park & will shower before DH gets back from looking at a job, then it's free for him.DGD didn't come in the end last night as her cousins were over and she doesn't get to see them apart from school hols.DGS burst through the door with his usual energy. We made krispie cakes, well when I say 'we' I mean I made them, he licked the bowl and ate 2 of them - some left over, I'll hide them for tomorrow! Then he carried on with his masterpiece art work, jungle themed!Have a good day all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning everyone
Camelot - enjoy your last day of school holidays. I find the last couple of weeks go past so quickly. For my youngest DDs last couple of years in school she went 10 minutes over the border to a Scottish school - so she had Scottish holidays and I had English - made things quite complicated at times!
I had a lovely day yesterday - I had both little grand daughter and my great nephew for the day. We had a trip on the bus to town to the park and had a picnic. They had a great play together and we spent a couple of hours there.
Once home again little one had a couple of hours sleep and nephew and I had a lovely play in the garden together - he's got a brilliant imagination.
Both mums came about 5 - I was ready for some peace by then!
Later on I sent my niece a message just saying she and her boyfriend should be proud of themselves bringing up such a lovely little boy. She was only 15 when she found out she was 30 weeks pregnant but they are still together four years later, though both still living at home. She finished school, passed her exams and they both have jobs and are doing well. I remember the day so well when she cried and I cuddled her and told her everything would be ok.
Oh almost forgot the story of the start of yesterday. Little one woke up about 6.30 - 'me is so excited go to park with A.' So I brought her in my bed and said it was too early - thought she'd dozed back to sleep.
I woke up to my arm being stroked, opened my eyes and thought 'what the ****?'
'Look granny me got my suncream on, me not get sunburnt at the park!'
Her arms were layered thick with sudocrem, right up to her shoulders and she had just started on my arm!
She was so proud of herself....oh it took some washing off! It was the tiniest little pot I keep in a basket beside my bed with her changing things - but a little certainly went a long way!
Well I'd better move - hope you all have a good day

Morning all
Dull and overcast here this morning the sun is due later this afternoon so the dog walk should be more pleasant today, yesterday it was boiling hot, both dogs spent a lot of the time laying in huge puddles of water to cool off.
Nothing planned for today so once ive done my jobs this morning and walked the dogs I can have the afternoon to myself, I might watch a film and maybe have a nana nap.
Dinner tonight will be filled pasta with salad and crushed avocado and I might make some garlic bread.
I have been having a lot of conversations with work about my role going forward so I expect a lot more of that today as well.
Poppy I hope all goes well today x
Nels hope you are ok and your hands are not giving you too much trouble xxx
