I received a phone call today around 4.30pm. it was a lady from DWP saying she was dealing with my MR and was just looking though it now and wanted me to explain more about the points id asked them to reconsider as the first assessment was a load of lies the lady wrote down and didn't note down anything I said so I was given 0 points. The lady on the phone today was lovely and very understanding and she said she was going to be making her decision today is this standard protocol or is this a good sign? My anxiety is through the roof

It is at least a good sign they are taking your MR seriously, not just summarily rejecting it. I don't know if it's necessarily standard procedure but it is certainly not uncommon. You should hear soon.tania12 said:I received a phone call today around 4.30pm. it was a lady from DWP saying she was dealing with my MR and was just looking though it now and wanted me to explain more about the points id asked them to reconsider as the first assessment was a load of lies the lady wrote down and didn't note down anything I said so I was given 0 points. Hi yes the lady said she will make her decision today and I should receive a letter in the post in the next day or so with her decision, I'm trying to be optimistic about it but I can't help but think it will just be a refusal. XSpoonie_Turtle said:

It doesn't really mean anything other than you received a phone call asking a few questions. It's rare for them to ring but it can and does happen.Regarding your comment "the lady didn't write anything down you said" the assessment is just another process for them to gather evidence. They are not their to write down everything you say word for word. They ask you questions and the HCP makes their opinion based on all the evidence. From this they then write the report. If the worst happens then it's Tribunal.1
