WFH tax claim

My contact with my employer is a work from home contract. Does this mean I can claim the tax for working from home or am I exempt because I am already contracted to do that through agreement with my employer. Don’t want to get on the wrong side of the tax man!

If your contract says you are required to work from home, and you are not paid any sort of allowance for doing that, you can claim the standard deduction of £6 per week, worth £1.20 per week to a basic rate taxpayer.1
