Capquest - text messages and emails

I have received some random txt messages and emails from Capquest claiming a document is waiting for me.
I presume this is some phishing attempt or a method of duping me into accepting a debt. I don't owe anything and have newer defaulted.
I've check my credit reports as described on MSE but can see no 'red flags'
Should i wait for an actual postal letter from them?
Am i in danger of accepting a debt by logging into their website?
Is joining CIFAS the way to stop this happening in the future?

You can only acknowledge a debt in writing or making payment to it. Even then, you can't acknowledge a debt that isn't yours and be lumbered with it.1

You only need respond if they can be bothered to write to you.
There is no requirement to acknowledge emails/calls or texts.
It sounds like Capquest are on a fishing trip, looking for a bite.
Once they have written to you, respond with the "provit" letter, from the DFW stickie board, don`t get into protracted conversation with them on the phone either, it never ends well.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
