Welcome back glad it was worthwhile even if the expenses were high sounds like you had a lot of fun.
It is great that you are decluttering but I agree spending money on your current place does not make sense unless you already have the paint and its just your time you are spending.

It is great that you are decluttering but I agree spending money on your current place does not make sense unless you already have the paint and it’s just your time you are spending.@TallGirl @South_coast you are both correct on is it worth the repaint (as that’s all it would be - a scrub and a new coat of paint )
kitchen in particular is looking tired and a bit dirty, lounge I used cheap paint and never liked the colour on 3/4 walls - they both face where all the building works are so extra grime there too
I do have some free floor tiles I was given to retile the kitchen floor as well but that will be an effort trying to move stuff
my local paint shop often sells v cheap paint that’s excess so may pop by and see
I will try giving everything a scrub and also a declutter first then decide - it does feel a cathartic reaction as a restart for me - as now am looking to get fit again (am much fitter since being away) and looking for a new contract and retraining …
of course first full day back in london I went to an event - free food and drink … and a goody bag - but included a usb charging fan for the desk and when running around
@skint_spice @savingholmes tx! I think being away with not that much of one’s wardrobe for weeks makes you realise you don’t need 2 wardrobes of clothes … hard bit is deciding to sell expensive stuff vs giving it away .. just delays the process and you will never get the full value of what has been spent
or worse you decide you are on path on losing those pesky few extra pounds so maybe if you wait things will look great again !I have a lot of tight knee length skirts that I never wear and fashion wise I might not want to again either …
I do feel I need to empty one entire wardrobe out and see what’s in it - actual both have stuff at the bottom that is a mystery .. been here a few years so
MG only 6 yesterday as still quite jet lagged and went out late afternoon
MG aim 20 today
I am going this morning to a trial for EMS workout then get pricing - definitely planning a 3 month but it’s expensive and cheaper when you buy in bulk the sessions
am going to see if a formula I need to work out if Chat GPT can help rather than googling excel or doing that advanced course as no way to skip through if .. so a puzzle to be solved as a quicker way to crunch figuresDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)

I only managed 5 MG (minimalism game) yesterday as rushed out.
However I am exhausted as still jet lag and had a late night/early morning today ... so heading to bed by 7.45pm but I had only done 8 of my 20 MG so just headed to my old makeup drawer and found 13 items to get rid so 21 gone today - good to do the rushing around throwing things - makeup or free samples I have not used in years - what am i keeping them for even if they are expensive brands..
EMS Workout - did a trial EMS TODAY and signed up for 3 months as a good deal - 2 sessions per week not in central London for less than cost of 1 session where my friend is going - so think it will be a great focus also for my continuing exercise focus and good diet. I have come back from my trips definitely leaner and stronger but dont want my full on London living to take those positive gains back.. I will keep you all informed on my progress - I will also be doing cardio and weight training in my normal gym as well - lets see if I can get stronger and lose the fat in the next 4 months - will have to watch my nutrition as well

Went to bed so early (8pm!) I am awake before 5pm but have a lot to do and been quite exhausted this week so am up
don’t feel achy after the EMS again surprisingly but my body does like it - when you do a squat instead of the muscles contracting once they contract more like 80 times due to the electro magnetic pulses - also having forked out cash to start the sessions I did not want to eat any junk last night .Due to lots of walking whilst away - some days over 30k steps whilst lugging things around and not drinking much plus only eating one large meal a day plus snacks (yes haribo and crisps) I have returned home fitter and healthier so I am determined to keep this forward health movement going - covid, WFh then pre menopause has definitely added extra fat on me and I feel so much better already from all the forced exercise whilst away. The EMS workout training is interesting as a sensation - it tired me out at the end of the day - but I do feel leaner - I googled before and after pics - I will do a couple bikini shots for myself personally to track
I am away next week so I will properly start beginning of July
So today
- major excel issue for client 1
- see where client 2 is at
- due invoices catch up and chase
- cardio probably a swim and weigh in on my gym
- do review of 6 months then a refocus for next and month ahead
- do review of my side hustle and next steps
- start my course
- call 2 friends at least to catch up
- declutter 21 things MG
- tidy up and scrub kitchen -
- get Balthazar my robot vacuum to workDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)

FOOD
I am away again from Monday seeing family for a few days so rather than stocking up the fridge as I like to do to feel at home - I am trying to eat mostly out the freezer and delay the big shop til my return. Someone on here (South Coast/Suffolk Lass?) mentioned about not paying the supermarkets to store their stuff .. and it stayed with me - I am decluttering and that also means I need to lean in on emptying the freezer.
I do have some decent meat in there so a pork crackling joint may well be weekend dinner.
I had 2 HellFresh MEALS I did not eat before I left where i had frozen most the ingredients so added loads of greens to a beef rogan josh curry I made for breakfast this morning with ginger rice (!) - basically fry some ginger puree in oil for 1 min then add the dry rice to coat then add cooking water and salt. it was nice and had a nice slight taste
There is a chicken/lentil dish as well but not convinced the courgette I slammed in the freezer will be great once defrosted.
The week before I left I did go to Iceland and bought loads of frozen veg from spinach, beans, peas, edamame, okra, peppers, kale etc so at least I have plenty of that - I am still on the eat loads of greens trail - I did not eat as many when I was away this last 2 weeks - for half the time I had my own fridge (so rocket/salad) but no real cooking facilities beyond a microwave so ate one decent meal out a day plus salad and snacks....
MG - 8 so far - going to run around before bed and get that total up to 21!
EDIT - got the 21 things! I do like the midnight declutter run around my flatDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
