The variable price is subject to a price cap with an increase announced from the 1st October. Do a full market price comparison based on your actual day and night usage over the last 12 months before sticking with BG.1

@textbook Make sure you are using an ACTUAL ANNUAL CONSUMPTION which you can calculate for yourself from your bills - look for bills 12 months apart where the meter reads have the letter A or C against them (don't use ones with E)
Variable may be cheaper now but can be changed several times over the 2 years.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1
