Refund demand within 30 days on faulty ScS sofa
Hi all.
I need some guidance on my following dilemma. We had a 3 seater, and 2 seater sofa delivered 23 days ago from ScS. We ordered it in store on May13th, paid a deposit, then the balance before delivery. The 3 seater has faulty sagging seat cushioning on the reclining left hand side. You can now feel the 'springs' when you sit on it. Definite fault. Maybe not enough foam! Far too soon for wear and tear!
I understand I am entitled to a full refund under 30 days for faulty goods? Please confirm. Can I insist on this, without giving ScS the chance to remedy the fault?
To be honest, I expect goods to be of acceptable quality when you buy them, so I want a refund. I don't want it repaired. Can I insist on a full refund?
I have already registered my complaint via the online chat with ScS, and I'm also sending a letter to head office today to confirm everything. They are sending a technician out mid September (earliest available appointment), to have a look. Am I within my rights to demand a refund, and not a repair?
Thanks
for any help.

You are, but don't you want the sofa, given that presumably it matches the two seater sofa?ming60 said:Hi all.

I want to reject both, the full order. I can't trust the company's workmanship anymore.0

Just to check, are neither you, or anyone who has sat on the sofa over 17 stone / 107KG which is the maximum weight permitted by SCS?0

Nope. 5 stone less than that!
