VPower and Redex do help to clean up the internals of the car but too many people think they are magic potions that are going to give you instant 20MPG boost etc.
I stopped using supermarket (mostly ASDA) diesel in my Focus 1.6 TDCI as it was blocking the fuel filter more than once. Since using Shell normal deisel the problem has went away. I sometimes run a couple of tanks of VPower through or ad a bottle of Redex if it's on offer.0
