What’s your opinions? Looking black. I’m thinking Cuprinol but open to recommendations. 70m fence so don’t want to be painting it too often

You need to define "best"! Longest lasting? Cheapest? Blackest? Most environmentally friendly? Easiest to source?
Waste engine oil, diluted with diesel ticks at least three of these boxes...!

its slate grey but is a nice dark grey and covers really well (we covered a light stone colour with it) in 2 coats0 -
Lasting more than a year and reasonably priced. I was drawn to Cuprinol based on this and reviewsApodemus said:You need to define "best"! Longest lasting? Cheapest? Blackest? Most environmentally friendly? Easiest to source?

Cuprinol shades black ash. Lastes 4 to 5 years, but at around £30 for 5 litres could be expensive. Used it for years.0

We’ve recently used Sadolin Superdec, but at £85 for 5L it’s considerably more expensive than Cuprinol. It does, however, advertise 10 years of protection which is why I chose it. We only have about 15m of fence, but I have no desire to repaint it once a year!!

Barn paint. I used it on my fence and it’s lasted years. £80 for 20 litres on Amazon.0
