House purchase with crack in brick

Hi, could you advise me please.
We have soon exchange on the house, but after last time i saw the house, notice some hairline cracks in the brick mortar. Its in few places. All houses on the few street  got them some more some less, should i be worried, and book full house survey?

What sort of survey have you had so far, if any?

How old is the property? It’s potentially that the original windows were removed and upvc put without lintel support. This has then been rectified with new lintels.
definitely worth getting experienced eye to look at it.

Doesn't look like anything major, probably caused by differential settlement. It's not something I'd be overly concerned with but seek a professional's view.

It's impossible to do a survey without visiting the property. Did you perhaps mean that the lender has done a valuation?

From a couple of photos, I'd agree.  It's almost certainly an issue with a lack of support over the doors, but it looks like they've addressed it somehow.  The bearing of that lintel isn't typically enough these days, but it's an older house and we don't know when the work was done.

A lender's valuation provides you with no comeback should there be a structural issue with the house.  It's
always wise to have at least a homebuyer's survey.   You could commission a
structural engineer to look over that specific issue.   My gut says it's
fixed, but I don't have any real evidence to support that.

If it's all sorted, you should still get the cracks repointed as the cracks are a potential damp issue.

Looks like.the.brickwork was cut out for.a larger frame than the original. Has the rest of the house got concrete lintels   showing on the face?

No, no more concrete lintels only, this one.
