just to stick this thread at the top, letters stil not been recvd in the post as of today. But looking through some letters i have found from the council
we got letter (dated as postmark - but don't know the postmark because i never kept the envelope) but this is informing us that the application has been refused.

We have a letter from the planning office dated 23rd april stating that an appeal has been made to the secretary of state in respect of the above site.

we have another letter dated 3rd March which states ''you may have received a letter dated 23rd April 2007 informing you of a appeal for this application, unfortunately these letters were sent due to an administration error the appeal has not been started by the planning inspectorate. I apologise for this error.''

I then received a letter on the 6th March stating '' i am writing to acknowledge receipt of your letter in respect of the planning application described above, your views will be taken into account''
I think this was in response to the letter i had got from the 23rd about the appeal, but then the letter of the 3rd said the appeal was a mistake and therefore that was jsut a cross over of letters.

and thats it, i don't have anymore letters from the council regarding the appeal.
Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!
