Teletext holidays

My son had a holiday booked for himself and his friends.  Due to COVID they had to amend their holiday to 31st August 2021.  Because of the ongoing travel restrictions and quarantine rules some of his friends are unable to go.  My son has phoned teletext holidays on numerous occasions in the last couple of months (waiting a minimum of 40 minutes) only to be told someone would contact him.  This has happened 3 times and no supervisor has rang for him to rearrange this holiday.  Today he has received a text stating the balance needs to be paid otherwise the holiday will be cancelled and he will be charged 100% of the holiday.  When he rang the number on this text they put him through to customer services who again do not answer.  Where does he stand?  He is so worried.

are name changes possible to replace those that cannot travel? what do the terms and conditions say about restrictions? what country are they going to? will his/their travel insurance pay out if they do not travel?

    Where does he stand?

Unfortunately probably just very frustrated and having to constantly follow-up, chase and continue to wait for Teletext.

This company has a poor reputation. They sell cheap holidays but have little or no back up or support post-sale. Yet people seem to flock to them.

Teletext will have cobbled together the holiday with separate flight and accommodation suppliers.  Whilst he is waiting on Teletext perhaps look at the policy of the unnamed airline to see what travel waivers or concessions they might be making.  Those are likely to apply, on top of any fees Teletext might charge for changes.
  • He’s travelling to Ibiza.  The flights are with jet2 and I have emailed them hoping they maybe  able to help.
It’s sad because they have said he can rebook for next year but no so called mangers are following this up
