Who to ask about appliances?

Morning, we're deep in the house buying/selling process and just waiting for our solicitor to finish the report on title when she's back from holiday next week.
I had an update from our estate agent who passed me the details of the houses in our chain (2 above our vendor) that I had a nosey at on zoopla. I've noticed that the house our vendor is buying has an integrated dishwasher. The house we're buying has the vendors own freestanding dishwasher in it but is excluded from the sale (noted in the fixtures and fittings form). We are interested in asking our vendor if they want to leave the freestanding dishwasher as it would get us started and we were planning to buy one when we're in anyway. We could offer them a token sum for it or they could suggest a cost.
Who do we ask about this? The agent (ours or theirs?). Or our solicitor?
Aware they are within their rights to say no, but no harm in asking.

I would ask the agent of whom the vendor appointed to speak to your vendor about it.0

I will add though, we are in the process of purchasing a property with an integrated dishwasher, we currently have a freestanding one and we are taking the freestanding with us as we are looking to move the integrated on at some point. The kitchen isn't old as such but not to my taste. They may be planning on doing the same.
Also, I am quite jealous that you have been passed on the details of the houses in the chain. I am so nosey and would love that!1 -
Best to ask via the estate agent and ask if the vendors would like to sell some of their appliances. If you know the make and model and potential age that may help you gauge a value.0

If the vendors have no need for the dishwasher then you're probably doing them a favour by taking it off their hands, rather than making them remove it. I got an (unexpected!) free dishwasher with the last house I bought.1

Absolutely. We were very glad to gift our washer/dryer and free-standing fridge & freezer to our buyer.

I wouldn't hold out hoping they will be left for free as the seller has stated in the F&F that they wont be staying.0 -
Ask the EA but I'd not be mentioning you saw it on their new house details. Vendor might think that's a bit weird, they probably don't even know you've been sent the property details!2024 wins: *must start comping again!*1

Thanks all, I'll mention it to the agent and see if there is any interest!1
