Sim exchange n complete same day

Hi, 
We are boxed ready to move, but STILL not exchanged.
The buyer solicitor is saying, 
Sim exchange n complete same day. 
Removeals paid 1200 quid.
Do I dictate and insist it must be done the day before or its off!!??
I worried but we will be more worried if we on the day we are waiting in removeals van with literally everything out the house.
We are two days away..!
I've read many posts saying it's ok to exchange and completion same day..
We are family of four with two children, middle of chain.. 

Help need advice.


I'm thinking I'm the boss and day before or not at all..

It's not so okay to exchange and complete on the same day if you are in the middle of a chain.  It has been a thing with Covid, but you want to avoid the risk of being gazundered.  

Do you like your buyers? 

Why do you need to threaten to pull out?   

You're not the boss at all.  No one is.  You only get through by being as flexible as you can.  That might mean exchanging on your hoped for completion day and completing the next day, at least.

Why can’t you exchange and complete on the same day?

that’s what we did when we first bought. 

It’s likely we will exchange tomorrow or weds but completion is Thursday so if doesn’t happen it’ll be on Thursday and I guess it’s just how it has to be. 

Personally don’t make threats unless you’re prepared to carry them out. It’s stressful and unnecessary for everyone involved - imagine if someone was making that threat to you?!

He is not a good buyer, maybe just asking million questions is fair enough but for me not good from day one. 
Currently they are need document because of a cash buy or something?, they are on a dead line because their offer runs out ON 12th.so they moved the date forward from 23rd to 11th.we agreed, they have now delayed and not been good a replying or any much comunacation. The solicitor are pushing for exchange to happen prior.
Last email from our buyers solicitors is they will exchange and complete on Wednesday, the moving day. 

I've read and heard it's ok..
For me at the close of tomorrow it should be done!FOR LESS WORRY N STRESS 

I want to say it's that way or nothing.
