It really doesn’t matter unless you are focussed on what Ofgem glibly calls savings. Provided your post code and annual usage are correct then just enter any supplier/tariff into the box. The results will still be in the correct order; that is, the cheapest first.1

It's often better to say you're with a different company because when you do a comparison MSE often hides cheaper results from the company you are with.Always check with Citizens Advice and 'Which? Switch' as well.1

One of the issues with any 'exclusive' tariff is that other parties other than the site you obtained the 'exclusive' tariff from may not receive details of it.Fil64 said:I can not find my tariff in the drop down tab it was called exclusive fixed Oct 2021 as it was an exclusive from British gas so that mean everytime MSE send me an update its always wrong. Anything I can do about this.
Thank you
If concerned, you could contact the Cheap Energy Club (contact details link is at the bottom of this page) and ask if they could add the tariff. If you make the Cheap Energy Club aware of the missing tariff, they may try to obtain the tariff details from BG for you.
But as I say, if the supplier does not provide the tariff details to the comparison site, then the comparison site will not add them.
(with the tariff due to expire very shortly anyway, I don't think it will be a priority to add now)
If you have no luck, the best you can do is probably pick the best equivilent BG you can find and set alerts to only be sent to you if the saving exceeds whatever the maximum value it allows you to set.
That will hopefully reduce any more alerts until the 49 day switching window opens, probably within the next 2-4 weeks?
Then choose the best supplier & tariff for you to switch to.
