HELP - Blacklisted from insurers!!!

Hello all,
A few months ago I sold my property. Not wanting to delay the sale I decided to rent until I find my next property.
Due to this, I decided to do some research and see how different areas would affect my car insurance.
I therefore did a lot of quotes, utilising multiple addresses and 3/4 different cars. I kept my other details the same.
I then came to a sudden stop where confused.com said they were unable to quote me. I then learned I had been blacklisted due to their anti fraud detection. I emailed, then called where I explained the situation and was told they would remove the block on my account.
I also noticed that admiral had a block on me. They're the only individual insurers I checked because they were who I was with. I was told they would also remove the block.
Fast forward about 3/4 months and I did ONE quote on confused.com. I obtained quotes no problem. I then went back and ammended the excess to see if I could lower it, but doing so resulted in most of the quotes being gone.
I assumed they had a minimum excess to reverted it back to the higher amount and now all quotes were 'unable'.
I then went onto go compare. I haven't quoted from them for a year. Popped in my details but unfortunately nobody could quote me.
This makes me think it's not just the comparison websites who have blacklisted me, but moreso the underwriters.
Is there a way I can contact these and remove the block, as my prior quotes were not me trying to get dodgy insurance quotes, but just see how different addresses will affect me financially!
Also, does anyone know how to remove searches from my credit file as I assume this could also be a contributing factor?
I really appreciate any advice,
Matt

Soft searches on your credit file are normal and cannot be removed as they form part of identity checks.
Have you tried just ringing an insurer who doesn't use comparison sites and be up front with them about what you are trying to achieve (even ask your own insurer directly)0 -
you should always use aliases and addresses down the road to compare quotes. I d'[o it when I want to check different quotes for occupation. I have a business where I can be a company director (it's a ltd company), web marketer (my primary skill is marketing the business online, this is the skill i bring to the business primarily) or I could write retailer as the bulk of my earnings come from selling products online.I wouldn't spam the price comparison sites with 3 different occupations, 3 different mileage, different driving purpose etc with it all in my name.I remmeber mentioning doing this ages ago and someone blasted me here for doing something illegal or something. My main reason for doing this is because I've seen when you are looking for flights or hotels and you're frantically looking, the prices keep going up and up.0

Thanks for all the advice,
I'm aware of using 'a deviation' from my actual details when shopping, and then my real ones when finalising, now.
At the time I wasn't, I thought surely variables are allowed to you know, vary.
I did call my jnsuerer and they were great, I told him a few addresses and he gave me quotes.
The issue is now 4ish months later, the comparison sites aren't quoting me.
Confused.com gives me some quotes, but one quote had a full selection, a second where I made minor changes seemed to remove the admiral group from my searches.
Go compare wouldn't quote me at all.
Recon it's anything I need to do with the insurers themselves, i.e. call the individual insurers and explain?
I've sorted insurance out for this year with my existing provider, but I don't want to be stuck not being able to get comparison as there's obviously a big saving to be made by comparing.0 -

Banned from one of the comparison sites before now also. Car for a new driver so I tried everything on Autotrader that was withinbudget and found some strange ones. 2 seemingly cars gave different prices. Same year, colour, spec everything.A quick email explaining why so many searches and quotes came up again very quickly.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
