Finding a buy to let mortgage broker?

OK so I have a deposit fund. I have found a property I would like to buy but cant work out the best way to find a reputable broker.
If you do an online search you get overwhelmed with choices and I just don't know where to start. Is there like a list of good ones or something?
Where how do I start to find a broker without getting ripped off etc. Do I get a broker in the area I am buying? Or local to where I live?
I am obviously new to this!

    - The broker doesn't need to be local to where you live unless you want face-to-face advice/meeting
    - If you don't want to pay a broker fee, plenty of fee-free whole of market brokers on the MSE guide here https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/mortgages/best-mortgages-cashback/#step3
    - You could also ask friends, family or colleagues for referrals
I'm not entirely sure on what you mean by "without getting ripped off" but if you are referring to the broker fee, just stick to a fee-free broker or a fee-level that you are comfortable with.
As long as you are with a whole of market broker, they will largely have access to the same products and lenders. However, if your requirements or circumstances are non-standard, they may not always end up recommending the same product/lender, especially for BTL mortgages.
