Council Tax for students

Hi all,
I'm a student who recently graduated and I'm unsure when/if I should notify the council that I'm no longer a student. For context, my father is disabled and does not work, my mother was forced to quit her job and become his personal career. I know my mother pays council tax but my father is exempt, not sure how or if this would change once I declare that I'm no longer a student.
Thanks for the help in advance.

Assume you are living with your parents.
if your father is exempt, then your mother will have had a 25% discount as the only person in the household eligible to pay council tax. Now you are no longer a student, there will be 2 liable adults in the household, so your mother loses the 25% discount.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards.
